The Mubadala DC Open returns to Rock Creek Park this weekend with one of its most exciting lineups yet, Saturday through August 2.
Why it matters: The tournament, now the world's only combined ATP/WTA 500 event, brings some of tennis' biggest names to town – and the chef lineup is pretty exciting, too.
Who's playing: Defending champion Alex de Minaur, American stars Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul and Madison Keys, plus Daniil Medvedev, Naomi Osaka, Venus Williams, Elina Svitolina, Jasmine Paolini, Stefanos Tsitsipas and dozens more.
Beyond the baseline: Expect autograph sessions, kids' activities, player meet-and-greets and tennis talks throughout the week.
Come hungry: Local favorites like Silver & Sons barbecue, Duke's Grocery, Taco Bamba, and Dolcezza will serve fans, while VIP guests can sample dishes from star chefs like José Andrés, The Dabney's Jeremiah Langhorne (The Dabney) and Patrick O'Connell of The Inn at Little Washington.
If you go: Tickets start at $28 per session (VIP seats from $149).
