It's Pride Month in D.C. with a full calendar of Capital Pride events, as well as other happenings at museums, bars and restaurants, and community hubs around the city.
New this year: Capital Pride moved their big weekend to June 20-21 due to other major events tied to America's 250th anniversary celebrations.
State of play: Capital Pride is behind some of the biggest events in town, plus a full roster of community and affiliated events ranging from sports to entertainment and advocacy that you can check out here.

Pride on the Pier | The Wharf | June 14, 4-9pm
The Washington Blade-hosted party features waterfront performances, food and drink specials, dancing, and some of the best sunset views of Pride Week. Free
RIOT! Opening Party | Echostage | June 19, 9pm-3:30am
The official kickoff celebration featuring celeb DJs like BOB The Drag Queen and Myki Meeks. Tickets $39+
Capital Pride Parade | Logan Circle through Downtown | June 20, 3pm start
The marquee event of Pride weekend returns with floats, marching groups, performers and thousands of spectators lining the route, which starts on 14th Street and winds down toward the National Mall. Free
- Arrive early if you want a prime spot. Bars and restaurants throwing their own watch parties along the way.
17th Street Pride Block Party | Dupont Circle | June 20, noon start
One of D.C.'s most beloved Pride traditions turns the heart of the city's historic LGBTQ neighborhood into a daylong street festival with DJs, drag performances, food vendors, beer gardens and community organizations. Free
Crack of Noon Parade Brunch | Viceroy in Logan Circle | June 20, noon start
Pre-game for the parade with an all-you-can-eat brunch buffet, mimosas and appearances by parade participants. Tickets 75+
Capital Pride Festival & Concert | Pennsylvania Avenue | June 21, noon start
The all-day festival brings together hundreds of exhibitors, advocacy organizations, food vendors and live entertainment.
- Maren Morris will headline the concert with other performances by Leikeli47, Harrison, Lisa Lisa and Myki Meeks, culminating in a Capitol Sunset Dance Party.

Pride on Screen Film Festival | AFI Silver Theatre | Through June 30
AFI Silver's annual Pride series returns to Silver Spring with films celebrating LGBTQ+ stories from around the world. Tickets start around $14 per screening, with showtimes varying throughout the month.
Dyke March: Dykes Against ICE | Dupont Circle | June 5, 7pm
The DC Dyke March returns with a protest-focused Pride event centered on queer liberation and opposition to ICE.
- Mark your calendars for a June 16 Dyke Party at Dew Drop Inn, featuring an art market (7pm to late).
Pride Family Day | Smithsonian American Art Museum | June 6, 11:30am
A family friendly day with performances by DC's Different Drummers, GenOUT and more. Visitors can explore LGBTQ+ artists in the galleries, participate in art activities and enjoy Pride-themed food and drink specials available for purchase.
Gay Men's Chorus: Soul Divas | Lincoln Theatre | June 6-7, times vary
The Gay Men's Chorus of Washington's annual Pride concert celebrates legendary divas with two evening performances. Tickets $26+
Big Dyke Summer Flea Market | Wunder Garten | June 7, noon
More than 30 queer vendors, artists and makers will take over the NoMa beer garden. Tickets $7+
Over Easy | Songbyrd | June 7, 2pm
The popular queer day party returns with DJs Mothershiester, Clamazon and Tropigal — a "trans-positive, all-gender-inclusive, anti-racist, pro-consensual-makeout space." Tickets $7

Support the nonprofit serving LGBTQ+ youth at a patio party at the Fountain Inn on June 8 (free) or a benefit concert at Songbyrd on June 12 (tickets $15).

Experience D.C.'s ballroom culture with the stars of kiki. Newcomers and experienced performers are welcome. Tickets $16.
Big Freedia | 9:30 Club | June 25, 7pm
The New Orleans bounce icon brings her high-energy live show to D.C. for one of the month's biggest queer music events. Tickets $33+
