Filipino breakfast is back. Chef Paolo Dungca is launching a daytime weekend pop-up in Dupont tomorrow.
Why it matters: Morena Cafe at Kayu stars dishes Dungca's known for at his past casual concepts: silog rice bowls, fun lattes and crave-worthy sandwiches.
"Nowadays people just want something quick and good," says Dungca.
On the menu: Garlic rice bowls topped with eggs and options like smoked pork sausage or mushroom-tofu sisig.
Filipino dessert-inspired lattes — playful and nostalgic — like ube-horchata.
