Move over, Missouri — D.C. just broke a Guinness World Records title for the most couples kissing underneath the mistletoe at a single venue.
Why it matters: We're officially the Nation's Capital of love.
💋 State of smooch: 1,435 couples locked lips under a giant mistletoe installation downtown on Saturday — more than tripling the previous record of 480 pairs set in St. Louis.
The synchronized five-second kiss happened beneath the "National Mistletoe," a 30-foot-high orb of greenery, flowers and a jingle bell.
Yes, it's still up if you're plotting winter engagement photos.
The bottom line: If this is what it takes to enliven downtown, we're gonna need more mistletoe!
