Washington Commanders to appear on new "Hard Knocks" season

The Commanders are featured on the new season of HBO's hit football docuseries, "Hard Knocks."

Why it matters: You might have Commanders' fatigue after their, uh, lackluster performance this season, but this is the first time they've appeared on the show — and it premieres Tuesday.

State of play: The show follows the four NFC East teams — us, the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys — and gives an inside look into their season.

New episodes of the show — narrated by actor Liev Schreiber — will drop on Tuesday nights, and run through the January playoffs.

The intrigue: Parts of the show were still being filmed the week before the premiere, the show's reps tell our Axios Philly colleagues.

To watch: "Hard Knocks: In Season With the NFC East" kicks off at 9pm on HBO Max.
