New D.C. vintage store to open in former Miss Pixie's location

A new shop for all things vintage home decor is opening in the former Miss Pixie's space in Adams Morgan.
Why it matters: Garlic Girl Vintage owner Vanessa Pius has been a fixture in the D.C. secondhand scene, selling their colorful, maximalist finds via pop-up spots like Union Market's Vintage Vintage Vintage and their Instagram.
- And now they're launching their first storefront.
State of play: The shop will host its grand opening Saturday, with giveaways, coffee and merch.
- It will host 10 vintage vendors to start — many members of the local LGBTQ+ community — who will sell goods like barware, kitchen gadgets, jewelry, plant holders and glassware.
- Plus: Most of the goods are curated for small living spaces.
The intrigue: Pius can also help you one-on-one with sourcing vintage goodies for your home, or cleaning out and selling items from your house.
