"RIP East Wing" merch has hit Etsy

State of play: Several pieces of RIP East Wing goods are now for sale on Etsy and Amazon.

• Think a big "EAST WING GONE" T-shirt in distressed-looking typography, or tees reading "Mourning the East Wing," "The East Wing Remembrance Society," or "The White House East Wing: 1942- 2025. Never Forget."

Yes, but: Not all the merch seems to be for the bereaved: One Etsy poster for sale showed a huge "TRUMP" wrecking ball knocking into a column above text reading "EAST WING DOWN."

Oh, the irony: When Axios D.C. searched "East Wing" on Amazon, our results yielded books, signs and … a bunch of hammers.

Zoom out: Some are taking their mourning to the actual demo site.

• Visitors have been gathering near the barricades at the White House to watch the tear down, the Washington Post reports.

The big picture: Many Washingtonians are outraged over the demo, happening during a government shutdown and regional economic turbulence — and after Trump pledged the ballroom project wouldn't "interfere" with the White House's facade.

• Preservationists are up in arms, too, although it seems their hands are tied.
