Capital One Arena just unveiled its latest upgrades for the 2025-2026 season, from exciting local eats to a first-class United Club & Lounge.
Why it matters: The arena's $800 million-plus transformation is turning game nights into a full D.C. experience.
What's new:
- Arena Bar & Eats: Celeb chef Spike Mendelsohn dishes up "Mumbo Jumbo Crab Rolls" and Pat La Frieda burgers in the former Signature Club space.
- Fan favorites join the concessions: Federalist Pig barbecue (Sections 107, 402), Soko Butcher cheesesteaks (105), Greek eats from Balos (120) and Insomnia Cookies (107, 408).
- Faster food runs: AI-powered checkout and self-order kiosks speed things up.
- "District Deals" kiosks: Wallet-friendly items like half-smokes ($6.50), pretzels ($5.75) and 16 oz Michelob Ultra ($9.75).
Meanwhile, the new United Globe Club & Lounge just took flight for VIPs and top-tier ticket holders.
- The two-level vibe "transports guests into the clouds" via atmospheric lighting and a suspended model plane.
- The exclusive lounge — reserved for 150 guests per event, including Wizards Courtside Row AAA and Capitals Row A fans — has culinary experiences from guest chefs and food/drink inspired by global airport lounges.
Zoom out: These upgrades mark phase one of Capital One Arena's splashy transformation, aiming for completion by the 2027-2028 season.
