The Capitals will be gearing up for games in style, thanks to their fancy new locker rooms.
The big picture: It's part of the first phase of Capital One Arena's $800 million-plus renovation, expected to wrap up in time for the 2027-2028 season.
- The first phase will also see new VIP lounges and upgraded fan seating.
State of play: The new locker room and player's area is double the size of the team's previous set up.
- Inside you'll find tricked out lockers with drying systems, a recovery zone with hot and cold tubs, an "analytics hub" where players can study game footage, and a new team "Hype Zone."
- There's also an upgraded media space, plus a family lounge.
What we're watching: The Wizards are getting a similar locker room refresh — more deets to come.
