More D.C. spots ready to go dark as government shutdown drags on

• First, here's what's still open:

🟢 STILL ON: The Army Ten Miler on Sunday, after an initial scare that it might be scuttled, organizers announced.

• The Kennedy Center remains open.
• Arlington National Cemetery
• Outdoor monuments like the Lincoln Memorial (sans public restrooms and indoor facilities)

⛔️ CLOSED: The National Gallery of Art, since Oct. 4.

• Theodore Roosevelt Island, with its footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists blocked off, per DC News Now.
• Gravelly Point is partially blocked off, with vehicle access off GW Parkway closed.
• The National Arboretum, including its National Bonsai garden.
• The Arlington National Cemetery's gift shop and restrooms, and the Air Force Memorial
• Library of Congress
• Botanic Garden
• The National Archives (with exceptions)
• U.S. Capitol Visitor Center

⏰ CLOSING SOON: All Smithsonian museums and the National Zoo will close on Sunday, after exhausting its remaining prior-year funds.

• The panda cam (and all live animal feeds) will go dark as well. (Animals continue to be fed and cared for, per the zoo's policy.)
• The Holocaust Memorial Museum says it'll close Oct. 18.

Meanwhile, the shutdown is forcing a 30-mile move for the massive Taste of NoVA food festival this weekend.

• Organizers were unable to host it on the grounds of the National Museum of the United States Army at Fort Belvoir, and instead are decamping to Manassas.
