Exclusive: Pati Jinich is bringing her first-ever burrito pop-up to Bethesda

There are burritos — and then there are Pati Jinich burritos. The acclaimed Mexican chef, PBS host and cookbook author is hosting her first-ever pop-up in Bethesda next month.

Why it matters: Fans have watched Jinich cook on "Pati's Mexican Table" for over 14 years — now they can get a taste for the first time.

State of play: The five-day pop-up with Marriott Bonvoy is at Marriott's headquarters in Bethesda, Nov. 3–7.

Her inspiration: the U.S.-Mexico borderlands, which she explores in her James Beard Award-winning docuseries "La Frontera."
"I tasted some of the most delicious burritos, ever," Jinich tells Axios. "My hope is to bring those tastes."

On the menu: "A true borderland burrito experience," she says.

Homemade flour tortillas, scratch salsas, and her favorite "chunky guac."
Burritos come stuffed with chile relleno, beef barbacoa, braised chicken and breakfast favorites (egg, bacon, jalapeño hash).
Classic sides: guajillo rice, chili-refried beans.

Plus, treats like agua frescas and tres leches cake.

Bonus: Jinich will be in the kitchen daily — plus hosting events like a cookbook signing on Nov. 4.
