Elon Musk is peacing out of Washington and the Trump administration after an image-tarnishing stretch as a "special government employee."
He'll still be an outside advisor to President Trump, though.
Flashback: Musk may be muskin' elsewhere, but it'll be pretty hard for Washingtonians to forget the 128 days he spent in our orbit.
His DOGE disruptions have upended the lives of many federal workers, left the region's white collar job market in disarray, and possibly kicked off a local recession.
He's also left us with a line-up of fever dream memories, like the Oval Office press conference with "Lil X," IKEA beds in fed buildings, the ole double cap move, and — of course — "Big Balls."
