Your D.C. weekend: Shakira's welcome concert and more WorldPride fun

More weekend happenings:

🎭 "Andy Warhol in Iran" — a play about Warhol's art popping up in Tehran years before the 1979 Iranian Revolution — begins tonight at Mosaic Theater Company. Tickets are available through June 29.

🎹 WoCo Fest 2025 will honor music by women and all gender-marginalized composers at the Mansion at Strathmore. The official WorldPride Partner Event features LGBTQ+ artists and local performers. Tickets start at $30 for the 7:30pm Friday opening concert.

🍻 Takoma Trukgarten is a one-day festival showcasing local beers, ciders and distillers. Food and music are on tap for the Saturday event, from noon to 5pm. Tickets at the gate start at $45, which includes a souvenir glass.

🎼 Sound Scene at the Smithsonian Hirshhorn takes place Saturday and Sunday, billed as the DMV's "premier interactive sound and multisensory arts festival." The free, all-ages event encourages registering ahead of time.

🇫🇷 The French Embassy is hosting an Evening in Paris Soiree on Saturday night, featuring live music all night, hors-d'oeuvres and a buffet, and open wine bar. The 21+ event encourages cocktail attire. Tickets start at over $101.
