Trump's D.C. military parade could have 6,000 soldiers

State of play: It would be held on June 14 — the 250th anniversary of the Army and Trump's 79th birthday. An Army anniversary festival was already long in the works for the National Mall, but the parade was recently added.

• The plans aren't final or public, but AP reported on Thursday that it would "likely cost tens of millions of dollars."
• The price tag covers moving military vehicles, equipment and aircraft and flying in soldiers from across the nation. Held in the evening, fireworks and a concert would follow.

• "A parade might become part of that, and we think that will be an excellent addition to what we already have planned," Col. Dave Butler, an Army spokesperson, told the AP.
