Top D.C. picks for Super Bowl Sunday takeout

With the Commanders out of the Super Bowl, we're here for one thing: THE FOOD.

The big picture: A ton of great restaurants around D.C. are offering party trays and packages (take note of ordering deadlines).

What I'm craving:

🍗 Wings: Federalist Pig's smoked wings win fans (plus they hold up/reheat well). Order solo or in "FedZone" packages with barbecue sliders and more. Delivery/pickup from Adams Morgan.

🥪 Sandwiches: I made sure to order Manifest Bread's justly famous muffuletta before publishing in case they sell out (plus the NFL needs more Basque cheesecake, so that too). Two pickup-only locations: Mt. Pleasant or Hyattsville.

🍕 Pizza plus: Boogy & Peel's sando-inspired pizzas are already winners, but don't miss their Super Bowl menu, packed with wings, Detroit pies and party-size focaccia sandwich trays (Italian for the touchdown). Dupont Circle pickup.

😋 Snackssss: Martha Dear's $75 sampler box looks unbeatable (gyros, sticky ribs, strombolis, dippers). Throw in a pizza for the complete party. Mt. Pleasant pickup.

🌮 Tacos n' nachos: Taqueria Xochi packs tasty taco platters (their birria is some of the best in town), nacho boards and party-friendly tlayudas (like Mexican pizza). Pickup/delivery: Arlington, Downtown, U Street
