1. 🎄 Holiday cheer is here
Holiday lights and markets are popping up across the DMV as December nears.
Here are four holiday attractions to check out this weekend:
🛍️ DowntownDC Holiday Market: Buy holiday gifts and visit the market's new chalet bar or buy artisan crafts and goods from over 100 vendors noon-8pm Friday through Dec. 23 on F Street between 7th and 9th streets NW. Free.
🎄 Zoo Lights: See holiday lights around the zoo, live music and eat treats 5-9pm Friday and Saturday and 5-8pm Sunday this week through Jan. 4 at the National Zoo. Tickets are $6.
🧑🎄 Maryland Christmas Show: Enjoy Christmas goodies, live music pictures with Santa, art, decorations, live music and more 10am-5pm Friday-Sunday at Frederick County Fairgrounds. Adult admission is $10, and children 10 and under are $4. Parking is $2.
🎁 DC Holiday Market at Dupont Circle: Shop over 30 small businesses and watch local performers noon-8pm Friday and 11am-8pm Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 15 in Dupont Circle on the 1500 block of 19th Street NW. Free.
2. ⛸️ Sculpture Garden Ice Rink
- Skate and view the sculptures and the National Mall 11am-11pm Saturday and 11am-9pm Sunday this week at the National Mall. The rink is open through March 2, weather permitting. Tickets are $12 for ages 13+.
3. 🍪 Cookie Crawl
- Get commemorative cookies at 30 stops across Old Town Alexandria 11am-4pm Saturday and noon-4pm Sunday. Tickets are $50.
4. 🇫🇷 Beaujolais and Beyond Celebration
- Attend an evening at the French embassy with food, live music, cooking demos, champagne and more 7-11pm Saturday. Tickets start at $129.
5. 👠 Global Couture
- Watch an international fashion show, enjoy live music, cultural dances, opera, art, folklore and more 5-8pm Sunday at the MNB Organization of American States. Tickets are $125.
6. 🎩 Champions of Magic
- London's touring illusion and interactive magic show will perform at 8pm Saturday through Dec. 1 at the Kennedy Center. Tickets start at $59.
