Michelin-starred Xiquet is getting a cozy, more casual sibling

Why it matters: The spot, tucked beneath Xiquet, is for Champagne tastes on a Cava budget.

Zoom in: Lledó previously operated the sidewalk-level space as a wine bar. "I miss my regulars," he tells Axios. At his luxe prix-fixe, "a regular is someone who comes two, three times a year."

• "El Taller" translates to "the workshop," and much of the menu will be dishes he's testing, or that don't quite fit in a prix-fixe format.
• Cue a Spanish cheese cart with after-dinner bottles of sherry or port.

By the numbers: Prices will run between $20-$40 for appetizers (caviar is an option), $35-$55 for mains, and around $20 for dessert.
