😋 Hispanic Heritage Month Festival at La Cosecha

Sept. 15-Oct. 15

• Latin food hall La Cosecha near Union Market celebrates with Alpaca Happy Hours, tastings like a Pupusas and Wine Night, floral workshops, dance classes and more.

🎶 Jazz and poetry at the Library of Congress

Sept. 15-Oct. 15

• Events throughout the month include readings by renowned Latino poets, a concert by famed Latin jazz pianist Eddie Palmieri (Oct. 18) and activations in the Hispanic Reading Room (Oct. 10). Free tickets are required for certain events.

📽️ AFI Latin American Film Festival

Sept. 19-Oct. 10

• The film fest features Latin American movies, starting with a Mexican adaptation of "The Kitchen (La Cocina)" on Thursday. General admission tickets are $15.

Festival del Rio Anacostia

Sept. 21

• The 9th annual family-friendly festival at Bladensburg Waterfront Park features food vendors, fishing demos, live animals and free boat rides.
