Metro is getting cheeky with its new merch.
Why it matters: City swag can be lame. But Metro is releasing more attention-grabbing items: Think the "Brutiful" line and these form-fitting men's "Foggy Bottom" swim briefs.
The latest: Pre-orders for Randy Clarke-approved, light-up holiday sweaters just went live.
- Nothing will win an ugly sweater contest faster than Metro knitwear with "functional lights" and the iconic "Doors Opening" chime.
The intrigue: All the creativity pays off. Metro spokespersons tell Axios merch sales are 320% above those last year.
- All proceeds go toward much-needed operational funding.
What's next: We can only hope for a "Ballston" men's thong.
