This weekend in D.C., check out a St. Patrick's Day experience at The Wharf, a pink tie party at Union Station, a Filipino dance class at CityDance and more.
1. ๐ป Ireland at The Wharf
The Wharf will go green this St. Patrick's Day weekend with a free Irish festival full of music, and plenty of Guinness and Jameson.
The vibe: This free family- and pet-friendly event will have authentic Irish food and drinks from Kirwan's on The Wharf.
- Try a corned beef sandwich with a Magners Irish cider.
Stop by: D.C. Gaels will be teaching attendees how to play Gaelic football and hurling.

2. ๐ธ Pink Tie Party
- Celebrate the National Cherry Blossom Festival by attending this spring fashion show wearing your best pink outfit from 7โ11pm Friday at Union Station. This is a 21+ event; cocktails and food will be provided. Tickets are $250.
3. ๐คฃ Capital Comedy Festival
- Have a laugh at a stand-up comedy show featuring Grammy-nominated comic Lavell Crawford, 8pm Saturday at DAR Constitution Hall. Tickets start at $59.
4. ๐งต Woven Histories: Textile and Modern Abstraction
- This exhibit opens Sunday and goes through July 28 at the National Gallery of Art. Free.
- By the numbers: There will be over 160 pieces of work by more than 50 creators.
5. ๐ฎ๐ท Norooz Market
- Celebrate spring and the Persian New Year by shopping local, 3โ7pm Saturday at the Brookland Arts Walk. Free.
- There will be performances from artists from around the DMV, handcrafted goods from local vendors and food from around the world, including Turkish and Iranian treats.
6. ๐ Traditional Filipino Dance Masterclass
- Learn three dances from the Philippines: tinikling (bamboo dance), Pandanggo sa Ilaw (Fandango of Light) and malong malong (Muslim skirt dance), 11:30amโ12:30pm Sunday at CityDance at Friendship Heights. Tickets are $20.
- This family-friendly event is for ages 8+.
