Hopscotch, a booze-free bottle shop out of Baltimore, launches a pop-up at Union Market on Friday.

Why it matters: You can find non-alcoholic wines, beers, and distillates around D.C., but this is the only dedicated shop selling quality products for sober and sober-curious communities.

Dig in: Owner Darryl Collins opened Maryland's first zero-proof beverage shop last year in Fells Point. The motto: "First Drink's on Us" — so expect plenty of tastings.

The big picture: D.C.'s spirit-free scene has taken off in recent years — along with the sober-curious movement happening globally — with events like Mindful Drinking Fest and N/A watering hole Binge Bar on H Street, NE.

If you go: The pop-up runs seven days a week through at least March 17, if not longer.
