This weekend in D.C., check out Awesome Con at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, a whiskey bar crawl on U Street, the Nowruz Family Festival at the National Museum of Asian Art and more.
1. π₯ Everything is Awesome (Con)
Geek out over comics, anime, toys, games and more at Awesome Con, D.C.'s three-day comic con at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
- Special celebrity guests include Hayden Christensen, Rosario Dawson and Natasha Liu Bordizzo from "Star Wars."
The vibe: This family-friendly event includes a science fair, a book fair, Awesome Con Jr. for young fans and Pride Alley, a space to celebrate queer creators.
- Stop by: Anime Yokocho, an area for all things anime, new this year.
If you go: Single-day passes start at $55 and three-day passes start at $100.
- Programming is 1β10pm Friday, 10amβ10pm Saturday and 10amβ5pm Sunday.
2. π RuPaul: "The House of Hidden Meanings"
- Celebrate the release of RuPaul's memoir, "The House of Hidden Meanings," with the Queen of Drag herself, 8pm Friday at the Warner Theatre. Tickets start at $59.

3. π₯ Whiskey Walk
- Enjoy an Irish whiskey bar crawl with eight tastings at eight U Street bars. 1β10pm Saturday at Exiles Bar on U Street. Tickets start at $60.

4. πΈ Experience Mixology
- Master your cocktail making skills with a class 3β5pm Sunday at The Westin Washington National Harbor. Tickets include two "drink experiences," recipe cards, 15% off brunch at Sauciety before the event or 20% off dinner after the event and a souvenir pint glass. Tickets are $65.
5. ποΈ WOMENtrepreneur Sip and Vibe Pop-Up Shop
- Shop art, beauty, body care, food, clothing, wellness and more at a marketplace of female entrepreneurs, noonβ4pm Saturday at Nyala Events in D.C. Free.
6. πͺ Nowruz Family Festival
- Celebrate the Persian New Year with activities, storytelling, dance performances, musical acts, Persian food and more, 11amβ4pm Sunday at the National Museum of Asian Art. Free. RSVP here.
- Tickets to musical performances will be given out on site at 12:45pm in front of the Meyer Auditorium.
