It's finally happening — D.C.'s best breakfast sandwich pop-up, I Egg You, is now a diner-style restaurant on Barracks Row. It opens on Saturday.
Why it matters: Chef Scott Drewno and Danny Lee's buttery egg sandwiches and loaded tots became a weekend fixation, but now they're available daily (plus a ton of new stuff).
Catch up quick: The egg-obsessed chefs first launched the concept as a pandemic pop-up three years ago out of Chiko Capitol Hill, melding Americana breakfast favorites with Chinese and Korean riffs (e.g. brown butter-fried egg sandwiches on Shilla Bakery milk bread).

What's happening: The new 60-seat space will be open daily from 8am to 4pm for breakfast and lunch — plus there's a full bar for boozy brunch cocktails and afternoon pick-me-ups.
- To that point: they're bringing "DC Power Lunch" back to Capitol Hill — add two martinis to any weekday entree for $25.
What's new: So much. The pop-up kept things tight. Here, they're going egg-stra with a bunch of breakfast sandwiches, tots, playful toasts, and all-day brunch.
- Plus: Things to hydrate you (Pedialyte, fresh OJ), things to dehydrate you (Dalgona coffee, wine), egg snacks, and other diner-style specials.

Fun splurge: A lot of the menu is wallet-friendly — between $7 and $19 for entrées — but you can do it up with a caviar-topped "toad in the hole" ($40) and "Art Deco" brut Champagne ($133).
- You can tell they're having fun in general. Cue a Vietnamese shrimp and avocado toast mashup, "Cereal killer" French toast, and a Seinfeld-style big salad.
Cool collabs: Locals represent with Ivy City Smokehouse salmon-topped toast, a 2 Fifty BBQ smoked turkey club, Anju's kimchi in a spam grilled cheese, and more.

After hours: The team plans to use the restaurant as an event and private dining space, "The Shell," in the evenings.
Be smart: The first 50 guests on both Saturday and Sunday will be treated to a free coffee and, on the next visit, a complimentary sandwich.
