Hennepin Library waitlists swell for hot reads

Hot summer reads are in high demand at Hennepin County Libraries.

State of the shelves: As we told you last week, the system has seen a surge in requests for "The Odyssey" following the release of director Christopher Nolan's film adaptation.

Yes, but: The titles topping the system's hold list still mirror those driving the BookTok views, Gail Muller Schultz, the libraries' manager of collection and technical services, tells Axios:

2. "Theo of Golden"
3. "The Correspondent"
4. "Whistler"
5. "The Calamity Club"

Rounding out the top 10 were recent hits "Project Hail Mary," " Wild Dark Shore," "Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage," "Atmosphere" and "My Friends."
