Twin Cities bands to open Mystic Lake's new venue

Motion City Soundtrack, Ber and Rocket Club will play an all-local opening night at Mystic Lake Amphitheater next month.

• "SNL" cast member Tommy Brennan — a St. Paul native — will be the emcee for the new Shakopee venue's June 20 soft opening.

The intrigue: Another headliner will still be announced, the Star Tribune reports.

🎟️ Tickets for opening night cost $20 and go on sale for Live Nation All Access subscribers at 10am today. General sales start through Ticketmaster tomorrow.

• A portion of the proceeds will go to a local fund supporting restaurants impacted by Operation Metro Surge.

What's next: Summer acts booked by the venue include Bob Dylan (July 6), Lil Wayne (July 18) and Kesha (Aug. 3).
