After purchasing the former Chicago Taste Authority property last month, Centro Restaurant Group announced it will open Bill's Bait Shop, a bar and restaurant inspired by northern Minnesota fishing culture.
- Expect the atmosphere of your neighborhood dive bar and a "comforting, approachable" menu, per Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. It will tentatively open in June.
π» Dangerous Man Brewing will revive its Northeast Minneapolis taproom, this time in the soon-to-be-vacated HeadFlyer Brewing space, the Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
- Look for an end-of-spring opening.
π Risata Cucina, a modern Italian-American restaurant from industry veterans, is now open in downtown Robbinsdale.
- Expect a wide variety of pastas β all under $25 β and one of the largest amaro collections in the state, per Mpls.St.Paul Magazine.
π David Fhima's new grocery store venture The Global Table is set to open inside the new Coborn's in Plymouth on March 12, per a release.
π΄ A new brewery β and then some β is in the works on the corner of 45th and Minnehaha. Mixed Culture Brewing, run by industry veterans, will operate as a coffee shop in the morning before transitioning to a taproom with live music and a large beer garden, Longfellow Whatever reports.
- Owners also plan to host a bike shop in the space, which was formerly home to One on One Bike Shop. Expect an opening sometime this year.
π Oppa Sweets, the whimsical cotton candy stand we wrote about last week, is "temporarily" closing its Mall of America outpost at the end of a month, per its social media. Its Maplewood Mall location will remain open.
π Downtown Wayzata restaurant ninetwentyfive is becoming Belle & Grey, an all-day spot under the same ownership, per its social media. Expect a spring debut.
