Forget the lakes — Minnesota is about to become the land of 10,000 laughs.
Driving the news: The annual 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival returns Thursday through Saturday, with dozens of local and national stand-up comedians performing over 20 showcases.
- Headliners include Leslie Jones and Hannibal Buress alongside "WTF with Marc Maron" standout Mary Mack, "Wild 'n Out" star Maddy Smith and television host Al Jackson.
Audrey's pick: The national names get a lot of attention, but as a casual local stand-up fan (and semi-regular at MJ Matheson's comedy night Easy Speak), I have always laughed out loud at Tido Maldonado, Aidan Thibault and Lily Meyer.
- And if you've ever enjoyed Sam Schedler's TikTok or stint as MPR's state fair host, you should check him out Friday night at Mack's show.
📍 Details: Thursday-Saturday at five venues across the metro. Prices vary.
