Audrey here! As someone who has been collecting local art on the cheap for years, I want to let you in on an event I've been gatekeeping since 2019 — and your walls will thank you for it.
Driving the news: Posters for Parks, happening this Saturday at Minnehaha Regional Park, is an annual show featuring over 40 limited-edition posters by local artists and designers that are all inspired by Minneapolis' gorgeous green spaces.
- The pieces are 18 by 24 inches, printed on high-quality materials and $50 apiece, with proceeds evenly split between the artists and local organizations dedicated to preserving Minneapolis parks.
The catch: Designs aren't released in advance, so you won't know what's available unless you come to the show — and popular posters often sell out within hours.
- If you can't make the event, leftover pieces will be sold online Oct. 13–18.
🎨 Audrey's thought bubble: My pieces from Posters for Parks are some of my favorites in my (enormous) collection. Even if you don't find a design you love, you're at a beautiful park on a gorgeous fall day. It's a win-win!
- 📍 2–6pm Saturday at the Minnehaha Regional Park pavilion. Free entry.
