Homes will be awash in sunbaked hues, pastels and deep, grounding colors next year, according to big paint companies.
The big picture: The calming blues and greens that became popular post-pandemic are now joined by purples and getting a softer, pastel look, Emily Kantz, Sherwin-Williams color marketing manager, tells Axios.
State of our walls: The moody "Midnight Blue" was Behr's top-selling color in Minnesota outside of neutral palettes, as of August.
Reality check: Neutrals are still on trend. Sherwin-Williams' forecast features familiar grays and whites, and Behr's 2026 palette includes mellow shades like Rodeo Tan and Wheat Bread.
