Dirty soda, Hippo Pockets and pickle cheese curds join Minnesota Vikings' concessions menu

Vikings fans attending the team's first home game on Sunday can now pair their stadium food with a "dirty soda."

Driving the news: U.S. Bank Stadium just introduced around 25 new concession items for this upcoming season, ranging from trendy fare — like the sodas and Hippo Pockets — to twists on stadium classics.

What to expect: A focus on savory entrées — such as smashburgers, Spam egg sandwiches from Eggflip, and wagyu ramen — as well as wilder snacks like a 10-inch long mozzarella stick from new vendor The Rabbit Hole.

If you prefer to stick closer to the classics, the list also includes "bratchos" (bratwurst nachos), walleye fingers, and dill pickle cheese curds from OG stadium vendor Curds & Cakes.

Audrey's thought bubble: The new menu includes four kinds of mac and cheese from three different vendors, but Old Southern BBQ's brisket version was easily my favorite — and ended up being my top food of the day. Fresh, flavorful and filling.

On the sweeter side, I adored the Apple Fries from Minnesota's Original Brat Dogs, which uses SweeTango apples rolled in sugar with caramel dip. Just eat them fast; they get a little soggy.
