Terminal 2 expansion slated to bring Lucky's 13 to MSP

Local gastropub chain Lucky's 13 will likely be the anchor restaurant and bar for the expansion of Terminal 2 at MSP Airport.

Driving the news: The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) will soon vote on a lease agreement with the group behind Lucky's 13, called Eclectic Culinary Concepts.

State of play: The MAC put out a call for a full-service restaurant earlier this year as it progresses on the $268 million project.

Lucky's, which is partnering with operator The Grove Inc., was the only respondent.
But MAC staff said in a memo that the recognizable brand would be a good fit for T2, which caters mostly to Twin Cities travelers.

Context: Lucky's 13 has five Twin Cities pubs and two in North Dakota. The company also owns Pajarito, Yankee Tavern, Me and Julio and The Mudd Room.

Company president Steve Hesse declined to comment until the lease was approved.

What to expect: The expansion project is scheduled for completion in late 2026, according to MAC spokesperson Jeff Lea.
