😋 Kyle here. Craving collard greens, my girlfriend recently suggested we try African Deli, a Brooklyn Center spot specializing in West African foods.

What to expect: African Deli is tasty — no fooling.

…or, dare I say, no fufu-ling! (Now that's wordplay!)

What to try: This was my first experience with fufu, a ball of stretchy cassava dough that's a staple in many West African cuisines.

As instructed, I used a torn-off piece of dough to scoop up a tasty beef stew.

Plus: Most meals, including our collards, cost $10-15 and come with filling helpings of fufu or rice.

If you go: Order ahead! We waited at least 20 minutes for our to-go order.
