State of play: Just about everyone is back from that Lynx team that went 30-10 last season, including Napheesa Collier, one of three betting favorites to be this year's MVP.

• One key addition is 3-point sharpshooter Karlie Samuelson.

What they're saying: The Lynx are ranked the second-best team by The Athletic and WNBA.com.

• "They're on a path toward redemption with a side of revenge," wrote The Athletic's Chantel Jennings, who predicted another banner for Target Center.

Star peeping: Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever come to town just once this summer — on Aug. 24.

• Bueckers visits on Wednesday as well as Sept. 1.

The bottom line: While the WNBA is enjoying unprecedented attention thanks to Clark and other young players, the Lynx are lucky to have their own superstar in Collier.
