Sunday is Mother's Day β and if you just panicked over your lack of plans, have no fear.
- Whether you're in search of a great gift or looking for a spot to take her this weekend, here are some of our top picks.
π± For the gardener: It's a prime weekend for plant sales. Edina Garden Council's is Friday, West St. Paul has one Saturday, Pletschers' Greenhouses in New Brighton is Saturday-Sunday, and the massive Friends School sale is Friday-Sunday at the State Fair Grandstand.
- Pro tip: All remaining plants at the Friends sale are 33% off on Sunday.
π€ For the bargain hunter: Find a new treasure at the Kingfield neighborhood-wide garage sale in south Minneapolis from 9am-2pm Saturday.
- If mom's a big reader, try the Plymouth Library's book sale Saturday from 9am-3pm. Books are $2 and under, and from 2-3pm, you can fill a bag with books for just $5/bag.
πΌοΈ For the art lover: The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden Art Fair returns for a second year Saturday-Sunday with over 180 local and national artists β plus food trucks, beer and wine, and a "botanical marketplace" with art featuring or inspired by plants.
