Happy Holidazzle! The long-running downtown Minneapolis holiday celebration kicked off Wednesday night, with Nicollet Mall's transformation into a "winter playground" continuing through Sunday.

The big picture: Visitors can expect light and art installations, multiple holiday shopping pop-ups, free rollerskating and a rotating list of entertainers on indoor and outdoor stages.

• The lineup includes a silent disco Thursday night, karaoke and trapeze artists Friday and Saturday and "Snowga" with a kid's dance Saturday and Sunday.
• Nearby restaurants like Noa, Cardigan Donuts and Roxy's Cabaret also have food specials if you mention Holidazzle.
