Gas prices have dipped below $3 a gallon across much of the Twin Cities.
The big picture: Prices are falling across the country, a result of investor concerns over weak demand for oil and the switch to cheaper, winter-blend gasoline at the pumps, per Yahoo Finance.
By the numbers: As of yesterday, AAA showed an average price of $2.93 a gallon statewide, with prices in the seven-county metro ranging from $2.82 to $3.
