It's been more than 800 days since we hit 100° in the Twin Cities.
The big contrast: That's a far cry from Phoenix, which has sweat through a record-breaking 102 consecutive days of triple-digit temps this summer.
By the numbers: We've hit 100° or higher at MSP Airport just 34 times since 1938, according to the Midwestern Regional Climate Center.
Our advice: File these numbers away for February, when we're all complaining about the frigid temps and wondering why we haven't moved south.
