If you're looking for a new-to-you spot to try this weekend, Lana Truong might be able to help.

Zoom in: The Minneapolis-based food influencer has amassed nearly 11,000 followers sharing new restaurants and drool-worthy food pics on her Instagram account @minne.eats.

  • Audrey chatted with Truong this week to get some dining inspiration. Here are some of her recommendations.

πŸ‘€ Favorite new restaurant

  • For a casual spot, Vietnamese coffee shop Caphin is fantastic. I've been going since they were a truck at Mill City Farmers Market, and their new location is a gorgeous place to spend a day sipping on delicious coffee and working.
  • For upscale, Porzana isn't as new, but it's definitely in my top. Absolutely worth the hype and every dollar.

πŸ’ž Essential date night

  • I love Billy After Dark. It's a moody basement speakeasy with great drinks, sushi rolls, things like that. My favorite thing to do there is get a caviar bump, because you really can't get that anywhere else. It's the most "New York" place in Minneapolis that's going to impress both out-of-towners and your date.

πŸ₯° Your "old standby" spot

  • Pho 79 is my favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurant; the St. Paul location has a spicy pho that's really good and not available at their Eat Street location. Union Hmong Kitchen is a staple, and Marty's Deli has recently become a favorite β€” their breakfast sandwiches make me want to go out for breakfast every morning.
