St. Croix Chocolate Company wins silver, bronze, at International Chocolate Awards

A Minnesota candy maker took home sweet honors at the recent International Chocolate Awards World Finals.

Driving the news: St. Croix Chocolate Company, based in Marine on St. Croix, says it won a silver medal for its burnt cinnamon and bourbon bar, and a bronze for its macadamia bonbon during last weekend's competition in Italy.

Zoom in: The bourbon caramel bar "features a ganache filling made by infusing flame-charred cinnamon sticks in cream, then surrounding the filling with brown butter milk chocolate," per a news release.

Of note: Those looking to try the award-winning goods themselves will have to head to the shop in person — it's currently sold out online.
