Minneapolis will suspend fall leaf and yard waste collection following the week of Nov. 15.

Driving the news: The city won't extend the program this year, even though many of us still have leaves on our trees.

Details: Put your yard waste in a compostable bag or reusable container and leave it by your garbage bin by 6am on your normal collection day.

Zoom out: It's not just Minneapolis. Residents across metro also face end-of-service deadlines this month, the Star Tribune reports.

  • Garbage haulers in St. Paul typically offer the lawn waste pickup through Nov. 30, per the city.

🐝 Bee smart: Didn't rake? Don't worry. Leaving the cover can protect your plants and provide shelter for pollinators.
