We've already shown youhow Minnesota has grown more diverse over recent decades. Now, we're zooming in on the state's 87 counties:
Fastest-growing: Carver County, with a 17% increase in residents, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. That means 15,000 new people in the southwest metro county.
Biggest drop: Koochiching County, which saw its population plummet by 9%, to 13,311.
Of note: St. Louis County grew by just five residents, per the census count, going from 200,336 in 2010 to 200,231 in 2020.
