Woodbury graduating senior Jack Martin jokingly invited local real estate agent and freeway fixture Kris Lindahl to his graduation party — and ended up on a billboard himself.

Context: Lindahl's iconic red "Guaranteed Offer" ads, which picture the agent with his arms outstretched, have been a Twin Cities staple for years.

  • Plus: Inviting local figures to graduation parties is a running joke at Jack's high school, St. Thomas Academy.
  • Typically, the desired guests don't respond. But when Lindahl called Jack to RSVP no, he said he had a surprise instead.

What they did: Lindahl's team told Axios they pulled Jack's graduation photo off the invite and put it on a local billboard along I-94, near Geneva Avenue.

  • It was up on Saturday, the day of Jack's graduation party.

What's next: The promotion was a hit but don't expect Jack to join Lindahl in the real estate business.

  • He's attending Marquette University, where he'll study medical engineering and join the Army ROTC program.
