Vote for California's best state parks

It's time to vote for San Diego County spots in the "Best of California's State Parks" poll.

Why it matters: Bragging rights, obviously.

🌸 🥾 Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, the largest in California, was nominated for best camping, hiking and wildflowers.

🏖️ Carlsbad State Beach, where you can catch waves and spectacular sunsets, made the ballot for best beach.

How it works: Vote for a park in each of the 12 categories, and add photos and a note about why you love it.

Voting ends on Saturday, April 11.

Flashback: We've got less representation than last year, when Anza-Borrego won honorable mention for camping and rightfully took the crown for wildflowers.

Torrey Pines was named the best picnic spot.
Cardiff State Beach earned an honorable mention, along with Palomar Mountain for dog-friendly adventures.

One lucky voter will win an annual pass ($195 value) for free parking at more than 200 state parks.
