Little While in North Park wants to be the neighborhood spot where you don't choose between coffee and a pastry — you treat yourself to both.
Dig in: The new café and roastery recently celebrated its grand opening, which drove a consistent line out the door on a Saturday morning.

What to order: If you're dining in, try the Clear POG Skies — a clarified milk punch that tastes like a citrusy iced tea with coffee undertones.
- The cold brew cocktail looks like an old-fashioned, served over a rock and garnished with a lemon peel.
- An iced salted maple latte with the vanilla cream topper really hit the spot.
Best bite: The fluffy everything pull-apart is somewhere between a savory monkey bread, croissant and cinnamon roll with everything bagel seasoning and a hot honey butter glaze that you dip into a whipped herb cream cheese.
Zoom in: The team of locals running Little While is also behind San Diego favorites Pop Pie Co. and Stella Jean's Ice Cream.
- Their new coffee and pastry shop is inspired by places around the world where they've stayed "a little while," from streetside cafés to matcha farms to a grandma's backyard, co-founder Steven Torres told Axios. You can see those in photos along the wall inside.
If you go: Little While is open Monday-Thursday, 7am-2pm, and until 4pm Friday-Sunday.
