Howdy, you usually only see my name at the bottom of the newsletter but I'm sharing a quick message today.
State of play: I'm Ross Terrell, Axios San Diego's editor. I've been hanging around your town for a few days and wow, has this city been showing off.
- From Buon Appetito and the Nood Bar, to breakfast at The Cottage and the sun bathing sea lions, it has been a far cry from the May gray and June gloom I've heard so much about.
- Though I can't say I plan on waiting 45 minutes to try gelato from An's Dry Cleaning.
Awkward moment: Before breakfast with Kate and Andy I had always read La Jolla as "JAH-luh." I was today year's old when I learned it's "HOY-yuh." Rip.
Still, the views of the sunset and even Sunny Jim have been fantastic. And we hope to keep bringing you news and stories that matter.
