Mic Drop to bring live music, karaoke to North Shore

Zoom in: Mic Drop will bring more than 4,300 square feet of live entertainment space to North Shore Drive, adjacent to the soon-to-open Highball Social Club at The Plaza at North Shore near PNC Park.

• It'll host rotating "bandeoke," dueling pianos, local and national bands and DJ sets alongside craft cocktails.
• Nightlife will be the main draw, but Legacy said in a news release it will host daytime and early evening programming for guests "looking to enjoy the experience and still be home by 10pm."

Context: Legacy, led by Pittsburgh developer and restaurateur Herky Pollock, has rapidly expanded its North Shore presence over the past year, with Mic Drop joining The Plaza, SugarBird, Highball Social Club, Shorty's and Pollock's partnership stake in Burgatory.

• Legacy partners Ed Smith and Amanda Kiger (Palm Palm, Ritual House) will operate Mic Drop.

What they're saying: "The North Shore has become one of the premier entertainment districts east of Chicago, and we believe Mic Drop will bring something completely unique to Pittsburgh," Pollock said.
