🚉 Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato joined hundreds of advocates yesterday in calling for more state funding for the region's public transportation. She said transit is essential to the region's economy and workforce. Pittsburgh regional transit says it needs an additional $117 million annually or it will make severe cuts and raise fares.
Innamorato said it's time for the state to invest more in buses and trains. "PRT has done its part to stretch every dollar. Now we need Harrisburg to do theirs," she said at the Downtown rally. (Press release)
