Frankie the Friar crowned creepiest mascot

Axios readers have spoken, and Frankie the Friar is the creepiest mascot in Western Pennsylvania.

Context: We held a poll to see who locals thought was the region's creepiest mascot after Major League Baseball fans recently crowned the Pirate Parrot third most intimidating baseball mascot in a national survey.

Results: Frankie garnered 34% of the vote, narrowly defeating Steely McBeam at 33%.

Kenny Kangaroo of Kennywood fame came in third with 19%.
They were followed by Bacon Burt the pierogi (8%), Mr. Yuk (5%) and the Pirate Parrot (1%).
