Skinny Louie brings Grand Theft Auto to life

Between the lines: The upcoming game, set for release on Nov. 19, is set in a fictionalized Miami called Vice City.

• The game's Miami ties has revived old debates about the city's portrayal and ignited both support and criticism from local elected officials.

The intrigue: Staring next month, participating Skinny Louie restaurants will feature signage, uniforms, and branded packaging, per a news release announcing the partnership.

• The brand's Kaseya Center location will be a Burger Shot.

State of plate: The menu replicates Burger Shot's, featuring "The Bleeder — Triple," the "Burger Shot — double" and the "Burger Shot — single."

• There's also a caramel milkshake on the menu.

What they're saying: "The fact that we're doing it here in South Florida, where Skinny Louie was born and where Vice City draws so much of its inspiration, makes [the collaboration] even more special," Skinny Louie co-founder Gonzalo Rubino said in a release.
