What's going up: Workforce, affordable housing projects proposed

Centennial Management, one of the county's largest affordable housing developers, proposed a new affordable senior apartment complex in southern Miami-Dade County.

• The proposal, Santa Cruz Isles, features an eight-story building with 120 affordable apartments, a fitness center and a multipurpose room, according to the South Florida Business Journal.

Workforce Housing outside of Miami Gardens is the latest project proposal from Coral Gables-based MAS AJP.

• The proposal is for an eight-story building with 190 workforce apartments for people making up to 120% of the area median income, The Real Deal reported.
• Aside from the apartments, the development will include 1.6 million square feet of industrial space, 24,000 square feet of commercial space and continue housing the His House Children's Home, a foster care facility, per the outlet.

Solara Village, an affordable housing development in West Little Rover proposed by a Boca Raton-based developer, will feature 200 apartments ranging from 488-800 square feet, the South Florida Business Journal reported.
